Securitization Analyst

The successful candidate will play a major role in the growth of Home T.C. (Alberta) Inc., Calgary. Engaging in both day to day activities as well as strategic initiatives in the securitization of residential mortgages will provide a dynamic and challenging career.

Responsibilities will include:

* Preparation of daily and monthly reports of securitized mortgage securities.

* Preparation of documentation related to Securitization activities.

* Interact with CMHC and other financial intermediaries in the securitization of mortgages.

* Prepare information related to accounting of securitized mortgage securities.

* Financial analysis of various Securitization projects and proposals.

* Assist in the analysis of potential securitized pools of mortgages as well as current pools and hedges.

* Support Securitization activities with various reporting and analytic functions.

* Identify opportunities to improve business processes.

* Special projects as assigned.

The successful candidate will have:

* Post-secondary degree in Business/Economics or related field.

* Canadian Securities Course an asset.

* Experience in Securitization, Fixed Income an asset.

* Familiarity with the CMHC Mortgage Backed Security (MBS) or Canada Mortgage Bond (CMB) program an asset.

* Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work accordingly.

* 1-3 years industry related experience.

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

* Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, team-building, and negotiating skills.

* Strong computer, analytical and quantitative skills.

* Self starter able to work with minimum supervision.
