The company currently operates eight stores in Canada, and plans to open 15 new locations in 2010. DAVIDsTEA has only been in the tea business a short while, but has some of Canada’s most successful experienced retail minds behind it.

DAVIDsTEA is making loose leaf tea fun, fashionable, and easy. In a little over 1 year, the company has become renowned for their wonderful warm staff, inviting locations, and world-class tea blends.

About the role: If you enjoy working with numbers, selecting teas, have great negotiating skills, and have a food & beverage background then this may be the perfect position for you. Willingness to travel, an open mind toward cutting edge tea blends, and excellent organizational skills are required. Energy a must.

This is an in house position. DAVIDsTEA offices are located in Montreal, Canada. Opportunity for growth is open-ended.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Working with David and the entire buying team on constantly improving our tea collection.

* Identifying new trends, new blends, and new suppliers.

* Negotiating terms and deliveries.

* Meeting margin objectives.

* Managing yearly “open to buy” dollars, and seasonal selections.

Qualifications:

* A creative and entrepreneurial spirit.

* A skilled and organized problem solver and time manager who can effectively multi-task, prioritize, remain composed under pressure and excel in a results-oriented work environment;

* A fast learner capable of growing and taking on an increasing scope of responsibilities.

* Work well in a team.

Requirements:

* 3 years experience in a similar role.
