Kingston Publications is a regionally based media group that publishes 11 magazines serving the tourism, military, student, and bridal markets in Kingston, Ontario. In addition to publishing a number of annual directories, and housing a successful contract publishing division, Kingston Publications also publishes the city’s premiere city/lifestyle magazine, Kingston Life. With more than 30 years in publishing, Kingston Publications has a reputation for excellence and is an important part of the fabric of the communities it serves in Kingston, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the magazine’s management team, helping shape the direction and strategy of Kingston Publications with a focus on building readership and reader interaction.
Key responsibilities include:
-Directing the efforts of staff and freelance professionals to produce quality magazines, directories, maps and multimedia online product
-Lead and manage staff by assigning and editing features, columns & special projects
-Develop and supervise annual operating budget
-Management and staff development including coaching and training
-Be actively involved in the community
